Bitumen Primer V – 1 L Can
The Bitumen Primer V is a thin-bodied, solvent-based bitumen primer for reliable adhesion promotion. It is ideal as a pre-coat for the subsequent installation of bitumen-based cold self-adhesive tapes and sheets as well as for coatings. Thanks to its good adhesion and high penetration into the substrate, it ensures a secure bond for the materials applied afterwards.

Areas of Application
Suitable as a primer for adhesion promotion for the cold application of waterproofing and coating materials, especially bitumen-based cold self-adhesive tapes and sheets. Adheres to steel, concrete, masonry, old bitumen roofing membranes, wood and other common construction substrates.
Application Instructions
Weather conditions

Component surface and ambient temperature must be above 5 °C.

Avoid exposure to water, rain and frost during application and drying.
Substrate
- The substrate must be dry and free from oils, grease and loose particles.
Application
- Before use, fully homogenize the primer.
- Apply by brushing or spraying.
Material Consumption
- Theoretical consumption: approx. 0.2 – 0.3 kg/m² (depending on substrate)

Cleaning & Storage

Clean tools while fresh with water; once cured, use a suitable cleaner.

Storage: in the unopened original container, shelf life at least 12 months; protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat; keep away from sources of ignition.
