Vapor control layers for airtight and secure constructions

Vapor control layers are a key component of the airtight layer and ensure that moisture does not enter the structure in an uncontrolled manner. They regulate moisture transfer and help prevent structural damage as well as mold growth.

Depending on the construction, either standard or humidity-variable vapor control layers are used. Humidity-variable systems, in particular, adjust their diffusion resistance to environmental conditions, allowing for safe drying of building components.

Vapor control layers are used in roofs, walls, and ceiling constructions and are essential in both new builds and renovation projects. In combination with suitable adhesive systems, they create a permanently airtight building envelope.
