Flexible sealing, secure bonding: Bitumen Flex Sealing Tape
Flexible sealing tape with fleece and coating made of highly adhesive elastomer bitumen. Particularly suitable for bonding wood fibre boards to chimneys, valleys and roof window connections. Suitable for use in the base area of timber frame constructions, as a damp-proof course, etc. Stretchable up to 30%. Not UV resistant – for sealing under coverings or in protected interior areas.
Key benefits at a glance
- Highly adhesive elastomer bitumen – reliable bonding and sealing
- Flexible fleece – adapts perfectly to contours, valleys and transitions
- Cold application – fast, clean, no flame required
- Elastic – stretchability up to 30% suitable for movement joints
Particularly suitable for
- Bonding wood fibre boards
- Chimneys (connections/transitions)
- Valleys and detailed applications

Installation instructions (for maximum adhesion)
1) Prepare substrate
- Surface must be dry, clean, dust-free and grease-free
- Abrasion-resistant and load-bearing
- No silicone residues or silicone-containing substrates
2) Primer depending on substrate
- Porous/monolithic substrates (e.g. stone, rough concrete, plaster): use universal primer
- Wood fibre boards, old wooden sheathing: use bitumen primer V
3) Observe temperature
- Minimum temperature: 10 °C (tape and substrate)
- For better adhesion: warm substrate and tape to approx. 20 °C
4) Positioning
- Align tape and cut to size
- Remove release liner step by step
5) Apply and press
- Apply tape and press firmly
- Avoid voids and air bubbles
- Ideal: use a pressure roller
Important note: The product is incompatible with silicone and must not come into contact with silicone-based substrates.
Note: Please check suitability for your specific construction and substrate. Information is indicative and depends on application and substrate conditions.
