Bitumen Aluminum Tape Brown 75 mm – Permanently Waterproof Sealing & Repairs
With this Brown colored bitumen tape, you can seal joints, transitions and damaged areas outdoors quickly and reliably. Whether on roofs, gutters, sheet metal, steel structures or glass roofs/greenhouses: the tape is self-adhesive, bonds strongly and is ideal as a sealing and repair tape.
Why this aluminum tape?
-
Waterproof sealing – perfect for joints, cracks and connections
-
Self-adhesive – quick application without special tools
-
Strong adhesion thanks to elastomer bitumen coating on an aluminum/PE composite
-
UV & weather-resistant thanks to the aluminum surface
-
Water impermeability tested (DIN EN 1928)
Tip for a professional result
Substrates should be dry, clean and sound. On rough concrete and stone, universal primer ensures maximum adhesion and a permanently secure seal.
On old, weathered bitumen roof waterproofing, shingles and roof tiles, use our bitumen primer
Important: The product is not compatible with silicone and must not come into contact with silicone-containing substrates.
Technical data
Width: 75 mm
Roll length: 10 m
Thickness: 1.5 mm
Application temperature: +10 to +40 °C
Temperature resistance: -30 to +85 °C
Softening point: ≥ 85 °C
Application – how to get a proper watertight seal
Prepare the substrate: dry, clean, dust- & grease-free, abrasion-resistant and load-bearing.
Porous/monolithic substrates (stone, rough concrete, plaster): use a universal primer.
On old wooden sheathing, roof tiles and old bitumen waterproofing, use our Bitumen Primer V
Observe a minimum temperature of 10 °C for both the tape and the substrate.
To improve adhesion, warm the substrate and the tape to 20 °C
Positioning: align the tape, remove the release film.
Apply & press down: press firmly (avoid voids/bubbles), ideally using a pressure roller.
Note: Each tape comes with application instructions.
