TargoVENT WI
TargoVENT WI is a three-layer wind barrier for facades with shadow gaps / open cladding (facade membrane) for the exterior side of wall constructions, specially developed for open-joint facades. For installation, the following applies: maximum joint width 30 mm, up to 35 mm for trapezoidal cladding, and a maximum 30% proportion of open joints.
Installation Instructions
Substrates must be dry and free from dust and grease. It is recommended to install the membrane horizontally and overlap it by at least 10 cm according to the marking. Staple the lower membrane in the overlap area and secure the membranes after installation with the facade substructure.
Important: Chemicals, oil-containing products or wood preservatives may damage the membrane. Avoid installation on coatings that have not dried. Rear ventilation recommended: minimum 60 mm.
Sealing/bonding (system recommendation): Seal overlaps so they are rainproof and wind-tight, for example with TargoBENDIX UV. Seal connections and details depending on the substrate, smooth: TargoBENDIX UV, rough: TargoFIX 1A.
