TargoVENT WI
TargoVENT WI is a three-layer wind barrier for facades with open joints / open cladding (facade membrane) for the exterior side of wall constructions, specially developed for visually open facades. The following applies during installation: maximum joint width 30 mm, up to 35 mm for trapezoidal cladding, and a maximum 30% proportion of open joints.
Format 1.5 x x m, cut size 1 m². For 1 m² you receive 0.66 metres. A quantity of 1 metre equals 1.5 m². Order quantity calculation: membrane length in metres x 1.5 metre width = square metres/order quantity.
Installation Instructions
Substrates must be dry and free from dust and grease. It is recommended to install the membrane horizontally and overlap it by at least 10 cm according to the marking. Staple the lower membrane in the overlap area and secure the membranes after installation with the facade substructure.
Important: Chemicals, oil-containing products or wood preservatives may damage the membrane. Avoid installation on coatings that have not dried. Recommended rear ventilation: minimum 60 mm.
Sealing/bonding (system recommendation): Seal overlaps so they are rainproof and wind-tight, for example with TargoBENDIX UV. Seal connections and details depending on the substrate, smooth: TargoBENDIX UV, rough: TargoFIX 1A.
Advantages
- Specially suitable for facades with open joints / open cladding (defined joint widths 30 mm, 35 mm for trapezoidal cladding)
- Highly vapour-open (Sd value approx. 0.05 m), supports drying
- Three-layer, tear-resistant and tear-propagation-resistant, robust wind barrier
- Water-repellent, UV-stabilised, ideal behind open facades
- System warranty through coordinated Targo adhesive technology for connections and overlaps
