TargoVENT WX is a heavy-duty, vapour-permeable and tear-resistant wind barrier for façades with shadow gaps / open-jointed cladding

With a one-sided self-adhesive zone in the overlap area for concealed bonding.
The façade membrane is water-repellent and UV-stabilised – ideal. It is suitable as a wind barrier for façades with open joints. For open-jointed façades, the following applies: the maximum width of open joints is 40 mm (up to 50 mm for trapezoidal cladding). The proportion of open joints must not exceed 40%.
 

Installation notes

It is recommended to install the membrane horizontally. Make overlaps according to the marking line, at least 10 cm. Staple the lower sheet in the overlap area and secure the membrane after installation using the façade substructure.

Chemicals, oil-based products or wood preservatives may damage the membrane; avoid installation over coatings that have not fully dried. A ventilation cavity of at least 60 mm is recommended. Sealing/bonding (system recommendation):
For overlaps, connections, penetrations and nail penetrations, the matching products from the Targo adhesive system are recommended. Bond overlaps rainproof/windtight with TargoBENDIX UV; seal connections depending on the substrate (smooth: TargoBENDIX UV, rough: TargoFIX 1A). For porous substrates, pre-treat if necessary with TargoPRIMER M/S.
