TargoVARIVAP N is a humidity-variable vapour retarder for controlled vapour diffusion in roof and wall constructions.
Thanks to the so-called VARIVAP effect, the membrane changes its diffusion resistance depending on the ambient humidity:
The standard version TargoVARIVAP N is fleece-laminated on one side and intended for applications indoors and outdoors (depending on the system build-up).
Installation notes
For a permanently functional construction, airtight installation is essential. The provisions of DIN 4102 must be observed.
Basic installation rules:
-
Install the membrane with the printed side facing the installer.
-
Overlap at least 10 cm according to the marking line.
-
Fix mechanically (e.g. stapling) and then make overlaps/joints/details airtight.
-
Sealing/bonding (system recommendation):
-
Bond overlaps airtight with TargoRAPID or TargoBENDIX (rub down firmly).
-
Seal wall connections with TargoFIX SK (cartridge sealant) or alternatively with TargoWALLIT / TargoWALLIT PLUS.
-
Seal penetrations (pipes, ventilation, etc.) with TargoFlex or TargoBENDIX.
-
For porous/dusty substrates, pre-treat with TargoPRIMER S/W.
Advantages
-
Humidity-variable (Sd 0.2–20 m) – blocks in winter, dries in summer
-
Maximum safety thanks to high back-drying capacity
-
Easy installation – saves time and money
-
System warranty with coordinated products from the Targo adhesive system
-
Excellent value for money
