TargoVENT WD is a vapour-permeable and tear-resistant, three-layer wind barrier
for use on closed façades. The membrane has a water-repellent finish and is UV-stabilised, making it suitable for professional installation behind façade cladding (weather exposure: up to 2 months). Ecologically, TargoVENT WD stands out thanks to single-type polyolefin, is biologically harmless and can be recycled.
Installation notes
-
It is recommended to install the membrane horizontally.
-
Overlap according to the marking line, at least 10 cm.
-
Staple the lower sheet in the overlap area in place and secure the membranes after installation with the façade substructure.
-
Install façade cladding so that the membrane is not exposed to direct sunlight.
-
Chemicals/oil-containing products/wood preservatives may damage the membrane; avoid installation on coatings that are not fully dry.
-
Recommended ventilation cavity: min. 60 mm.
Sealing overlaps / connections / penetrations
-
Substrates must be dry, dust-free and grease-free; for porous/dusty substrates, pre-treat with TargoPRIMER W/S.
-
Bond overlaps with TargoULTRA or TargoBENDIX to make them rainproof and wind-tight; firmly rub down the bonding area.
-
Connections: windows/upstands with TargoBENDIX, smooth components with TargoULTRA/BENDIX, rough surfaces with TargoFIX 1A (mechanical fixing may be required).
-
Seal penetrations (e.g., pipes) with TargoFlex; pre-treat mineral substrates with TargoPRIMER W/S.
