Knauf ProtectFill – Blown-in Stone Wool Insulation for Fire Protection
Knauf ProtectFill is a blown-in insulation made of loose stone wool for fire protection upgrading in service/installation shafts. The material is blown directly into the shafts by specialised contractors via hoses and nozzles – fast, clean and reliable. In addition to fire protection, ProtectFill also provides thermal and acoustic insulation.
Properties & Benefits
-
Fire protection: non-combustible, building material class A1
-
Fibre melting point: ≥ 1000 °C
-
No tendency to continuous smouldering
-
Thermal, acoustic and fire protection in one material
-
Settlement-proof: settlement class S1 (no measurable settlement < 1%)
-
Water-repellent: water absorption (WS) complies
-
Solvent-free
-
Ideal for new-build and refurbishment
Area of Application
For subsequent thermal and acoustic insulation as well as fire protection upgrading in service/installation shafts. Not load-bearing in compression.

-
200 mm: approx. 112 packs / 100 m²
-
300 mm: approx. 168 packs / 100 m²
-
400 mm: approx. 224 packs / 100 m²
Packaging
- Weight per pack: 12.5 kg
- Packs per pallet: 28
