Double-sided bitumen tape 60 mm – DSK nail sealing tape for permanently sealed nail penetrations
The double-sided self-adhesive DSK nail sealing tape is a cold self-adhesive, carrier-free sealing tape for the sealing of nail penetrations in roof applications. It is installed between the roofing underlay (underlay membrane) and the counter batten, ensuring that nail penetrations are reliably sealed afterwards – thanks to the tape’s permanently elastic behaviour. The tape can also be used for sealing glazing panels in greenhouses and conservatories as well as for sealing aluminium and plastic profiles.
Why choose this nail sealing tape?
- Double-sided & cold self-adhesive – quick application without an open flame
- Carrier-free – full adhesive surface for secure sealing
- Permanently elastic – reseals nail penetrations after fastening
- Strong adhesion & good stretchability/flexibility
- For outdoor use – proven for sealing work on roofs & junctions
- Improved handling: release liner wider than the adhesive layer
Typical applications
- As a nail sealing tape under counter battens (roof applications)
- Watertight bonding & sealing in exposed outdoor areas
- Double-sided bonding of aluminium and plastic profiles (outdoor use)
- Watertight bonding/sealing of roof windows, chimneys, pipe penetrations
- Junctions between roof and wall
Application – for a properly watertight seal
- Place the nail sealing tape on the installed underlay membrane in the rafter area.
- Then install the counter battens/battens and nail as usual.
- The nail penetrations are resealed by the tape’s elastic behaviour.
- Application from approx. +10 °C. In cold weather, ideally store the tape for at least 12 hours at > +20 °C.
- Storage: protect from direct sunlight.
