TargoVARIVAP S is a reinforced, high-performance variable vapour retarder

Format 1.5 m × x m (cut-to-size), 1 m² units. For 1 m² you will receive 0.66 metres in length. A length of 1 metre corresponds to 1.5 m².

for controlled vapour diffusion in roof and wall constructions.
Thanks to the VARIVAP effect, the membrane adjusts its diffusion resistance to the ambient humidity:

• Winter (condensation period): higher Sd value → reduces moisture ingress into the construction.

• Summer (evaporation period): lower Sd value → stored moisture can dry out quickly and safely.

The TargoVARIVAP S version is the reinforced design and is therefore also suitable for blow-in insulation materials.
 

Installation notes

For a permanently functional construction, airtight installation is essential. The membrane is laid without wrinkles and mechanically fixed (e.g. stapling).

Basic installation rules (interior):

• Install parallel to the eaves or rafters (when installing along rafters, place the overlap on the rafter).

• Smooth side facing inward, overlap at least 10 cm.

• Make overlaps, connections and penetrations airtight using products from the Targo adhesive system.

Sealing/bonding (system recommendation):

• Seal overlaps airtight with TargoRAPID.

• Seal connections with TargoFIX SK (permanently elastic cartridge adhesive).

• Seal penetrations (e.g. pipes/ventilation) with TargoFlex .

• For exterior execution/details, the system shows, among others, TargoBENDIX, TargoND tape and TargoFIX SK.
