High-performance vapor barrier Targo VariVap N cut to size 1m2

TargoVARIVAP N is a humidity-variable vapour retarder for controlled vapour diffusion in roof and wall constructions.

Format 1.5 m × x m (cut-to-size), 1 m² units. For 1 m² you will receive 0.66 metres in length. A length of 1 metre corresponds to 1.5 m².
Order quantity calculation: Length of membrane in metres × 1.5 m width = square metres / order quantity.

Thanks to the so-called VARIVAP effect, the membrane changes its diffusion resistance depending on the ambient humidity:

• Winter (condensation period): high resistance → reduces moisture ingress into the construction.

• Summer (evaporation period): low resistance → stored moisture can dry out faster.

Installation notes

For a permanently functional construction, airtight installation is essential. The provisions of DIN 4102 must be observed.

Basic installation rules:

• Install the membrane with the printed side facing the installer.

• Overlap at least 10 cm according to the marking line.

• Fix mechanically (e.g. stapling) and then make overlaps/joints/details airtight.

• Sealing/bonding (system recommendation):

• Bond overlaps airtight with TargoRAPID or TargoBENDIX (rub down firmly).

• Seal wall connections with TargoFIX SK (cartridge sealant) or alternatively with TargoWALLIT / TargoWALLIT PLUS.

• Seal penetrations (pipes, ventilation, etc.) with TargoFlex or TargoBENDIX.

• For porous/dusty substrates, pre-treat with TargoPRIMER S/W.
