Cork Sealing Plug – for Blowing Openings 101/107 mm
Cork plugs are an effective solution for sealing blowing openings in mineral boards or wood-based panels – e.g. OSB, wood fibre boards, plasterboard and gypsum fibre boards. The conically cut cork disc is inserted after the blown-in insulation without adhesive and can then be covered with standard fillers and plaster. This creates a clean finish while supporting air- and wind-tightness – especially in components with fire protection requirements.
Properties & Benefits
- For blowing openings in mineral boards and wood-based panels (OSB, wood fibre boards, plasterboard, gypsum fibre boards)
- Conical – easy installation and a secure fit
- No adhesive required: press in or tap in
- Can be filled and plastered over – no marking through the surface
- Eco-friendly building material, dimensionally stable, easy to work with
- Supports requirements for air- and wind-tightness
Areas of Application
- External wall / sarking or roof underlay
- Internal walls
Installation
- Press the cork plug in approx. 2–3 mm below the board surface or tap it in with a hammer – without using adhesives.
- Then fill/plaster over with common plaster systems or fillers – no marking on the surface.
