Cork Sealing Plug – for Blowing Openings 101/107 mm
Cork plugs are an effective solution for sealing blowing openings in mineral boards or wood-based materials, such as OSB, wood fibre boards, gypsum plasterboards and gypsum fibre boards. The conically cut cork disc is installed after the blown-in insulation without adhesive and can then be covered with standard fillers and plaster systems. This creates a clean finish while supporting airtightness and windtightness, especially in constructions with fire protection requirements.
Properties and Benefits
- For blowing openings in mineral boards and wood-based materials (OSB, wood fibre boards, gypsum boards, gypsum fibre boards)
- Conical shape for easy installation and secure fit
- Can be installed without adhesive, press in or tap in
- Can be filled and plastered over, no visible marks on the surface
- Ecological building material, dimensionally stable and easy to process
- Meets requirements for airtightness and windtightness
Applications
- External wall / roof underlay
- Interior walls
Installation
- Press the cork plug approx. 2–3 mm below the surface of the material or tap in with a hammer, without using adhesives.
- Then finish with standard plaster or filler systems, ensuring no visible marks on the surface.
